Stop rushing your life by and you’ll find yourself feeling truly happy. Don’t believe me? Try it; take the scenic route!
This can mean literally taking the scenic route or to simply stop rushing through life. I think both are incredibly important. Sometimes we are in such a rush to get to the end result or to get where we are going that we forget to enjoy the journey. We rush through thinking our happiness and success lies at the end when in reality it was the getting there that helped us grow the most.
Isn’t life moving by fast enough? Aren’t our children growing up too quickly? Does it feel like you blink and another year has gone by? Have you ever stopped to think that maybe it’s because you rushed it along?
Stop for a moment!
Sit on your porch and watch nature unfold before you. Watch your children play. Really watch them play.I am so guilty of multitasking and will check my e-mail or make a work phone call and I’m missing it! I’m missing their joy because I’m in a rush to get to what’s next.
Don’t miss out on life because you’re taking the quickest route. Sometimes the back roads with miles of farmland and little to see are the best parts! Sometimes the days sitting outside with your family or playing at the park have the biggest impact. Life is rarely about the next steps and almost always about the step you are currently taking.
